With the roar of the engine, the first made-in-India SDLG branded wheel loader L958H slowly drove down the new high-standard production line in Bangalore, India, on January 10, 2024. This marks a significant milestone as SDLG international strategy enters a new phase.

 

 

In 2023, SDLG has implemented the new international strategy, aiming at key overseas markets. As an important growth point of the global economy in the future, India has broad market prospects. In order to further reduce production costs and meet the needs of Indian market, SDLG decided to localize the production in India and set up the Indian project team, which has become a key part of the in-depth implementation of international initiatives.

 

Since the launch of the project, the team members have overcome obstacles such as language, culture, joined forces with relevant departments to go deep into India. The team comprehensively investigated various elements such as compliance, supply chain, infrastructure construction and local labor, fully studied the localized production mode and work process in different scenarios, and vigorously promoted the progress.

 

With strong support of the company's leaders and relevant departments, the project ran out of the acceleration. The construction of the new production line began in July, the installation and commissioning of equipment and the domestic training of foreign employees were completed in November, the first batch of production materials arrived in Bangalore in December 2023, when all was ready for prototype production.

 

At the same time, in order to ensure the quality of the loaders produced locally in India, the project team planned the parts quality control scheme and the production line release scheme carefully. They have audited nearly 60 key items of the new production line in six aspects, including human, machine, material, method, environment and measurement, so as to achieve fine control.

 

 

At present, the new high-standard production line in Bangalore, India, has started mass production preparations for more models. In the future, SDLG will accelerate the production localization in key countries and further implement the new internationalization strategy.
